[No System, traditional cultivation, ensemble cast, soul transmigration, no female lead, decisive and ruthless, not a mindless power fantasy, cultivation and political intrigue]
Protagonist: Xuan Xu
In his previous life, he was a low-ranking rogue cultivator in a higher cultivation realm. While searching for opportunities on the outskirts of a battle between powerful cultivators, he was reborn in the body of a boy in the cultivation world.
He uses the scheming of a mature soul to navigate the competing forces around him.
His more practical cultivation techniques threaten the interests of the local powers, putting him at odds with the established forces across the entire cultivation world.
The main story is a slow burn.
But it never insults the reader's intelligence: every plot point, character action, and personality holds up to scrutiny.
