I Actually Love You is about Sang Wuyan (played by Wan Peng), a senior in college about to graduate who dreams of becoming a radio broadcaster. She works as a radio host's assistant and is a fan of a mysterious lyricist and composer who writes under the pen name Yijin. She falls in love at first sight with Su Nianqin (played by Lin Yanjun), a visually impaired man she meets by chance. Sang Wuyan gradually breaks through Su Nianqin's proud, cold exterior, only to discover that he is Yijin. By then, she has already fallen deeply in love with him, but the pressures of reality and a series of misunderstandings drive them apart.
