Bright Sword: Are You Crazy? You Call This a Cook?

Qin Chuan transmigrates into the world of Drawing Sword and becomes a new recruit in the New First Regiment’s cooking squad. While others take up their guns and break through enemy lines, he chops potatoes with a blunt kitchen knife. While others call for fire support, he just wants to stay alive behind the cooking pot. As luck would have it, all the skills his System gives him are for hand-pulled noodles, pickles, roasted sweet potatoes, and smoked meat. At the Cangyun Ridge battlefield, a grenade rolls into the trench. Using the technique for pulling noodles, Qin Chuan whips a rope around and sends the grenade flying back to the Japanese position. Li Yunlong sets his sights on this “cowardly cook.” From then on, Qin Chuan tries to keep a low profile, but Old Li insists on squeezing him dry. Qin Chuan wants to cook, but the System keeps making him repurpose pickle crocks, tofu workshops, and brick kilns into military supply and manufacturing lines. When the Japanese seal off Yang Village and artillery fire bears down, Li Yunlong asks just one question: “Qin Chuan, how much longer can we hold out?” Looking at the stove, the kiln fire, and the last demolition charge, Qin Chuan says quietly, “Commander, we can still cook, and the guns can still roar.”
