I Won My Empire by Force

Shen Zhaoning, a modern arms queen, is shot in the head by the deputy she trusts most. When she wakes, she has become Jiang Jin, a fallen kingdom’s princess being sent off for a political marriage: dressed in rags, covered in wounds, and publicly humiliated by her former fiancé and his new lover. A System notification pops up: “Ding! Violent Conquest System successfully bound.” When the convoy is ambushed by barbarians along the way, Shen Zhaoning snatches a blade and cuts down one attacker after another, then recruits the imperial guards escorting her, too. She seizes food, people, and territory, riding a little donkey and leading a ragtag army as she sets out to conquer the land, starting from a tiny mountain hollow. Her former fiancé falls to his knees and begs to reconcile. “I regret everything.” A prince from another kingdom sharpens his blade. “She took my granary. I’ll take her as my empress.” Shen Zhaoning sneers. “Want to take me? Why not try taking my empire first?”
