A Sweet Crush, Just for You

Two top students / A love that goes both ways / Rekindled romance / A secret crush comes true / A power couple

Sensitive and resilient × Gentle and devoted

“If I lose her, how will I find the other half of myself for the rest of my life?”

A brutal subject-stream placement exam transformed Gu Zhi, an average student, into a sensation at school.

She turned out to be an English whiz. Her interest? Handsome guys. Her hobby? Handsome guys. Her type? Handsome guys. She met him for the first time on a rainy day, and a spark took root in her heart. He was Song Qingci, the top student who had held first place in the entire grade year after year. Though they seemed to have nothing in common, they gradually drew closer. But beneath the surface, tensions were rising! Her rival, Cai Xiaoling, relentlessly pressured and slandered her. Gu Zhi thought he liked her, but when she confessed at graduation, he turned her down. After that day, he cut off contact with everyone, and no one knew where he had gone. With one misunderstanding piled on another, Gu Zhi didn't want to revisit their past either. Then, many years later, they met again on another rainy day. Wearing a trench coat, elegant and composed, he crossed through the misty rain and met her gaze. But the next moment, he turned and walked away without hesitation.

It wasn't until Gu Zhi was told to go on a blind date that she saw who was waiting beyond the clear glass door. She was about to leave when he grabbed her hand, held the back of her head, and pinned her against the door, their fingers interlocked. Beside her ear, his voice sounded almost pleading:

“Xiao Zhi, are you abandoning your poor little puppy?”

-

“What would you call this?”

“A dream I don't want to wake from, one I keep sinking deeper into.”

And yet I repeated that ordinary name over and over.

The heartbeats of the rainy season would eventually lead to a grand reunion. She didn't know that the pages of their youth held traces of his secret love for her, too.
