The craziest battle took place in January 1953.
The US military assembled 30 top snipers, plus artillery observation aircraft, flares, and infrared detectors, to conduct an all-round "hunt" on Zhang Taofang.
He only had one person, one gun, and three days of dry food.
On the first day, he shot down a low-altitude reconnaissance aircraft, and the pilot parachuted out and was captured by himself.
The next day, he entered the enemy's position in the heavy rain and silently eliminated three sniper positions with his bayonet.
On the third day, the U. S. Military thought he had run out of ammunition and food and launched a fan search. Zhang Taofang, however, moved between the craters after the explosion, shooting in different places, making the 30 snipers think that he was fighting the entire company.
Final battle report: The US military suffered 27 casualties, and Zhang Taofang escaped unscathed.
The U. S. Commander collapsed after the war: "We are not fighting an army, we are fighting a ghost."
