Shen Mo, a graduate student in history, transmigrates as a baby from a poor family in Lotus Village in the Great Zhou Dynasty. This is an era when great clans monopolize power and the imperial examinations are a mere formality. No matter how learned a poor family's children may be, they have no chance to get ahead.
His family is so poor that his parents can't even scrape together the tuition for a single book. But Shen Mo has studied the classics and histories extensively and knows the imperial examinations inside out. "Are kings, nobles, generals, and ministers born to their stations?" He takes his learning as a sword, setting out from a poor family's humble home and vowing to break down class barriers and forge a path forward for the poor throughout the realm.
The great clans' oppression and the powerful's schemes come one after another. But a heart that refuses to accept its fate can light even the darkest night.
Watch as the transmigrator Shen Moxuan, a commoner in humble clothes, stirs the winds and clouds of the Great Zhou!
