Naruto: The Test Subject Revives, and the System Awakens

In a basement in Konoha, Orochimaru stares at the boy on the experiment table, whose blood vessels have burst, and licks his lips. “He’s dead.” When the Third Hokage storms in with the Anbu, Orochimaru tears open the encirclement with a Wind Release technique and escapes. Chinna jolts upright from the hospital bed, his chest heaving. His cellular defect means he can’t even use the Transformation Technique. The Auto Chess System chimes as it binds to him. A Hidden Mist Technique card glows in his mind, and before the sound of successfully combining the Great Fireball Technique has even faded, the footsteps of the patrol ninjas outside are already drawing closer. He grits his teeth and climbs out the window. The large trees deeper in the woods are just big enough to hide his small, thin body. Chinna crouches down and catches his breath, wondering whether he can go back. He can’t.
