Faked My Death for Ten Years, Now I Lead a Hundred Thousand Men in Revolt Against Zhu Yuanzhang

In the fifteenth year of Hongwu, Zhu Xiongying, the Ming emperor's eldest legitimate grandson, “died” of a mysterious case of smallpox.

Under the imperial court's calm surface, undercurrents surged. The wicked Lü clan secretly rejoiced, while Zhu Yunwen began dreaming of a peaceful life as heir to the throne.

But on the day his coffin was buried, eight-year-old Zhu Xiongying crawled out of a pile of corpses! If there's no such thing as family affection in the royal household, then to hell with being the imperial grandson. He won't do it!

Ten years later, an army of 100,000 soldiers armed with flintlock muskets and red cannons arrives at Yingtian Prefecture.

The rebel leader Zhu Xiongying sits astride his warhorse, his saber drawn. “Zhu Yuanzhang, today I've brought 100,000 armored troops to rebel against you!”

The ministers all think the Ming dynasty is about to fall, but then they see the Hongwu Emperor on the city wall, tears streaming down his face. He kicks the defending general aside and cuts the city gate's bar himself!

Old Zhu clutches the Imperial Seal and races to Zhu Xiongying's horse, crying like a child:

“My dear grandson! Thank goodness you're alive! Bringing 100,000 troops to rebel against your grandpa, now that's something to be proud of!”

“It's windy out here, hurry into the palace! Grandpa had your imperial robe sewn ten years ago. I'll put it on you right now!”

“As for your wicked stepmother and younger brother, you don't have to lift a finger. Grandpa will go butcher their entire clans this very moment to celebrate!”

Peeing himself in terror, Zhu Yunwen collapses to the ground. The entire court goes completely insane!

Zhu Xiongying looks at Old Zhu, who's practically begging to dress him in the imperial robe and asking, “Did it feel good to kill them?” He falls into deep thought.

Did I rebel, or didn't I?
