I Asked You to Start a Farm, So How Did It Become a Wildlife Sanctuary?

After graduating from college, going bankrupt, and drowning in debt, Su Niannian returns to her village with her tail between her legs after failing to find a job. There, she inherits the dilapidated farm her grandmother left behind.

She expects to spend her days quietly mending walls, growing vegetables, paying off debts, and dealing with awful relatives. But after a mysterious, haughty old orange cat in the yard scratches her, she awakens an ability to understand animals’ thoughts!

Her farming story takes a sudden turn:

After finally talking a weasel who came to “ask for a title” into leaving, she rescues a stray golden-shaded cat that treats her home like a maternity ward.

Even more absurdly, a hedgehog comes to repay her in the middle of the night by slipping an adorable white tiger cub into her bed!

As the number of nationally protected animals on her farm keeps growing, even the forestry bureau sends a handsome, cold-faced man named Shen Xingzhou to move in with his luggage and oversee the place.

Outside, her uncle’s family keeps pressuring her to give up the land. In the yard, the fierce beasts compete for attention, acting cute and vying for affection. Looking at the rare animals eating and freeloading all over her farm, Su Niannian finally breaks down and shouts:

“I run a farm, not a wildlife sanctuary!!!”

All the fierce beasts turn to look at her in unison, their thoughts joining in a chorus: “No, this is exactly what you run!”
