The remnants of Taiping dominate Southeast Asia.
Tianjing fell and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was destroyed. Yang Tianze, the prince's son, led 3,000 remaining soldiers to flee into Vietnam. He thought it was a dead end, but he fought his way through this barbaric land. He resisted the French army, destroyed Laos, and annexed Siam. Thirteen years later, he ascended the throne in Bangkok and proclaimed himself emperor. The Qing court wanted to destroy him, and the great powers wanted to carve him up, but he made everyone understand that this man who crawled out of the dead was the real owner of this land.
