The story takes place at the end of the "Xuan Ember Period" when the spiritual energy is exhausted and good and evil are separated - the former glorious world of cultivation collapsed into a chaotic world where sects were numerous and laws were broken. The young man Chen Xuan was originally a beggar in Qingzhou City. When he was hiding from the rain in a ruined temple, he picked up a rusty iron order engraved with bone-corroding runes. He accidentally awakened the Nine Netherworld Fire that had been sleeping for thousands of years, and he embarked on the path of rebellious fate.
