What Makes a King?

[Political intrigue] + [Conquest] + [Western Fantasy] + [Not invincible] + [Epic] + [Ensemble cast] + [Lord]

This is a war, with no regard for its cause and no distinction between right and wrong.

After dying in another world and returning, Qi An transmigrates once more. Magic, once dismissed as ravings and delusions, becomes reality. The foreigner from another land goes mad with seizures, then becomes a noble in a medieval kingdom and a Lord on the frontier.

Fear of his previous life's death follows him like a shadow. Settled on the borderlands, near a vast forest, he tries to use magic to rise swiftly and build a new life from the ground up. He advances one careful step at a time: befriending the forest people, forging an alliance with a princess, competing with kings, and challenging an empire.

He climbs higher and higher to avoid becoming a pawn sacrificed by one nation to another. He climbs higher and higher for armfuls of gold, and to stand above all others.

Ambition burns across the map, until there is nowhere left in the world to find refuge. Rebels chase profit at any cost, revolutionaries give their lives, and those seeking to restore their kingdoms cannot escape their share of the blame. They stand with their nations.
