The Midnight Ferry Office

The story is set in a modern metropolis of the 21st century. On the surface, it is a technologically advanced, orderly human society, with skyscrapers everywhere, busy streets, internet access across the board, and the rule of law operating as usual. But beneath it lies a hidden realm between yin and yang, glimpsed by only a tiny handful of people. Lingering spirits, unresolved obsessions, wronged souls who died unjustly, and wandering ghosts who perished in accidents, murders, depression, or other untimely deaths haunt every corner of the city: old apartment blocks, elevated highways in the dead of night, abandoned hospitals, viral unfinished buildings, midnight subways, shadowy alleys in urban villages, and deserted floors in upscale office towers.
