"Wind in Guancheng 1990"
In the early spring of 1990, Guo Jun, a poor boy from the countryside of Zhaocheng, packed five hundred yuan in his pocket with his childhood sweetheart Lin Zhiqing and boarded the long-distance bus heading south to Guancheng.
He carried cement at the pier and fried rice noodles on the street. He thought he could earn a stable life through his own strength. But the forces in the world are intertwined - the leader of the electronics factory covets Lin Zhiqing, the leader of the Lingfeng Society is eyeing his skills, and a fierce street fight leaves him with no way out.
It only took him one year to go from dock coolie to billiard hall steward, from restaurant accountant to headquarters assistant. Lingfenghui's five-year general election is about to take place. The leader is keeping secrets, the big boss is secretly planning, and the Zhanglian Society is watching eagerly. When the storm came, five young men—Chen Hu, Zhu Yikai, Zhou Meng, Zhou Hao, and Lin Qiang—went south from Zhaocheng at starry night and shouldered the banner of Zhongyi Hall with him.
Some people blocked knives for him, some went to jail for him, and some were bedridden for the rest of their lives. And he made only one promise: not to leave anyone behind.
The river breeze carries the smell of fish and blows across the pier. Under the neon lights in Wancheng, a group of brothers are fighting for cross-city supremacy from a fried rice noodle stall.
