Everything in the world and everyone owes a debt of karma throughout their lives.
It's not a monetary debt, it's not a favor debt, it's a causal debt:
You take advantage of someone else's good fortune and you are in debt;
You have escaped the suffering and debt you should have endured;
If you escape disaster, steal time, borrow other people's emotions, and use opportunities that don't belong to you, you will leave a causal IOU on your soul.
When the karmic debt accumulates to a critical value, there will be no immediate retribution, but a forced mortgage:
The pawn shop will automatically come to your door and ask you to use something from the future to pay off the debt——
A memory, a heartbeat, a relative, a few years of life, the ability to love, happiness, sleep, courage, the right to dream...
