Young Ling Ye was adopted by Team Rocket since he was a child and became a pawn to carry out dark missions. After witnessing the brutal experiment on Pokémon and the near-death of his beloved Night Patrol, he resolutely defected and broke out of the red cage.
He saw through the hypocrisy of the Alliance and the cruelty of the Rockets, and established the Evernight Regime in the dark night to take in the oppressed trainers and Pokémon. Using ghosts, poisons, and dragon-type partners as blades, he circles between Team Rocket, the Alliance, and the secret realm. Using the night as a shield, he controls order and vows to overthrow the dark hegemony and find his own path to redemption.
