Siheyuan: I'm Captain Jia, and I Deal with Every Kind of Defiance

Captain Jia, the notorious figure from Underground Transport Station, returns after serving his sentence.

In 1960, he is assigned to Civilized Courtyard No. 95, where he does the backbreaking work of sweeping the streets for a monthly wage of twelve yuan, living in a tiny side room.

He can never win a fight,

but he’s never lost an argument,

and he’s full of devious schemes and tricks for getting people into trouble.

He won’t play the good guy or follow any uplifting formula.

Captain Jia navigates life in the courtyard, taking on every neighbor. He’s genuinely cowardly and down-to-earth in his nastiness.

With his sharp tongue and a head full of schemes, he’s just the man to put every defiant courtyard resident in their place!
