An Huai is a little mute who lives alone in a shantytown in Nanjing. On the way home from work, he finds the injured Pei Han. Though Pei Han is a top tycoon, he lies to An Huai, claiming he owes 500,000 in loan-shark debt and is on the run. As they spend time together, Pei Han falls for this “saint,” but he dares not admit his feelings, and eventually abandons An Huai and leaves. Poor An Huai thinks the debt collectors caught up with Pei Han and drove him away, so he works odd jobs while searching for him. When they meet again, Pei Han chooses to keep lying. Only after the truth comes out does An Huai learn that Pei Han’s name was never Pei Ruohan. Heartbroken, he tries to leave, and only then does Pei Han truly understand his own feelings and try to stop him. But by then, everything is too late. Does Pei Han still have a chance?
