Fifty-two university students set out for a field study on an island, only to be stranded on an uninhabited shore after a shipwreck. Fresh water, food, illness, and fear gradually strip away the veneer of civilization. As the rules fail and the tide of hardship repeatedly wears down human nature, survival becomes the most painful choice of all.
