Yongle-era Ming: a golden age is about to begin.
Lin Mu transmigrates into this world and takes over a dilapidated manor called the Carefree Estate.
Faced with empty walls and empty pockets, Lin Mu activates the System and decides to do something no one in the Ming dynasty has ever done: start a livestock business.
People laugh at him for wasting his time on such frivolities, raising pigs instead of preparing for the civil service exams.
Then two little figures burst into his life.
"Mr. Lin, how come these pigs grow so fast just by eating this 'fairy powder'? Hurry up and teach me!" Zhu Zhanji's eyes widen as he gazes at the "super pigs," each one a whole lot fatter than an ordinary piglet. His face is full of admiration.
"Mr. Lin, I can use eggshells to make paint and draw 'anti-counterfeiting marks' on your chickens, so nobody will steal your eggs!" Princess Baoqing holds up an eggshell covered in patterns, her eyes sparkling.
Lin Mu looks at the two little adults, torn between laughter and exasperation, yet still touched by their enthusiasm.
And so, a remarkable scene unfolds at the Carefree Estate:
Zhu Zhanji uses an abacus to help Lin Mu record the "super pigs'" weight gain. He even sneaks some guards from the Eastern Palace in to serve as "livestock apprentices," learning "scientific feeding" from Lin Mu.
Princess Baoqing leads the palace maids in making crafts from eggshells and feathers. They turn them into "Carefree Estate souvenirs" and sell them at the markets in Nanjing.
As for Lin Mu, he provides the "technical support": he exchanges points in the System for "fast-growth feed," breeds "disease-resistant chicks," and even brings in "dairy cows" from the West, letting the people of the Ming dynasty taste "fresh milk" for the first time.
Three years later, the Carefree Estate has become the Ming dynasty's "livestock empire":
It supplies thirty percent of the country's market-ready pigs, provides all of Nanjing's eggs, and even the imperial kitchen of Zhu Di has to place its orders for "specialty meat" a month in advance.
