The Hong Kong Island Goddess Wants Me to Sleep My Way to the Top? I’m Just an Extra

[Transmigration into a crime boss’s son + underdog comeback + cops and criminals + entertainment industry + System + box-office record breaker + double agent + multiple heroines]

In his previous life, he was the most forgettable extra on the Hengdian film sets, spending eight years in bit parts and taking beatings for big-name stars for six.

After an accident, he opened his eyes in 1994 Hong Kong Island, as the second son of the Shen family, an old and powerful crime family, and Shen Tianlang, a probationary inspector in the West Kowloon Regional Crime Unit.

His father was the boss of the Qinglin Society, his elder brother the heir apparent of the gang, and the family owned half of Nathan Road.

And the original owner had chosen to become a cop? Shen Tianlang couldn’t help exclaiming, “Isn’t this like begging for scraps while sitting on a golden rice bowl?!”

Just as he was about to quit and go home to inherit a fortune worth billions, a cold voice rang in his mind:

[Ding! The Movie Cop Promotion System has been activated]

[Break the verified box-office record with a film under your control to earn one exceptional promotion in the police force]

[Target rank: Probationary Inspector → Commissioner]

Shen Tianlang saw the light: What future was there in being a gangster? Becoming a high-ranking official was the ultimate path!

So, with one hand he made movies, sweeping the Hong Kong Film Awards and bringing all the classics from his previous life to the big screen; with the other, he hunted violent criminals and cleaned up the police force, rising through the ranks on box-office receipts.

He released hit songs twenty years ahead of their time, becoming the one and only mentor to countless goddesses.

The police force saw him as a beacon of justice, the entertainment industry as the godfather behind the scenes, and the underworld as the deepest shadow hanging over all of Hong Kong.

Shen Tianlang: I really just want a promotion and a raise, and, well… to give a leg up to a few future queens of pop, that’s all.
