A Summer Crush

On the first day of military training, Yang Xiaojun caught sight of a pair of eyes in the class next door.

There was nothing special about those eyes, yet he remembered them all summer.

He didn’t know the other boy’s name. He only knew that the sun was blazing and the boy stood in the second row of the neighboring class.

Later, he could pick out the boy’s silhouette from the crowd at a glance.

Later still, thanks to a coincidence he could hardly believe himself, he added him as a friend.

Li Jinxin had no idea that the friend request he accepted was a secret another person had kept on his phone all summer.

A secret Yang Xiaojun himself didn’t dare admit.
