[Rich Emotions] [Slow-Paced] [Ensemble Cast] [Not a Power Fantasy] [Vast Worldbuilding] [Post-Apocalyptic]
A super AI prophet tells sixteen-year-old Tianji:
"Ten years from now, you'll have accomplished nothing."
"But two hundred years from now, you'll be humanity's savior."
That day, the robots rebelled, and his childhood sweetheart, Yanyu, breathed her last in his arms.
That day, his mother pushed him into a cryogenic pod, where he slept for two hundred years.
When he opened his eyes again, the world had become a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Humanity had retreated to the moon, Earth was ruled by AI, and he was believed to be the only one who could turn the tide of the war.
The problem was this:
Every time he gave everything to protect his companions, his memories were reset.
Every time he came close to the truth, someone erased the evidence first.
Strangest of all, the girl beside him, Chunxiao, had eyes exactly like Yanyu's.
She refused to acknowledge him.
Yet whenever he lost his memory, she would imitate his handwriting and write, "Chunxiao likes me. I'm going to pursue her."
Tianji finally understood:
During the two hundred years he had been asleep, someone had laid a web that stretched across time.
And the person he was searching for might have been by his side all along.
The foreshadowing is very deep, which may seem a bit inexplicable at first, but I will slowly tell you why later. They are all connected together. It would be great if the author could make it easier to understand, but to be honest, the fact that the answers are different every time is still very powerful.
