Jiang Cha opened a tea shop on the old street of Jiangnan Ancient Town. It sold tea, but in fact it specialized in treating monsters' mental ailments. Visitors include a painted-skin ghost who is trapped by love, a paper bride who cannot find a home, a fox demon who wants to change his evil ways, and a shikigami who has been abandoned by his master. There is only one rule in the tea shop: you are a guest when you walk in, don't talk about the past, don't follow the way you came. Until one day, a young man who called himself the Inspector of Heaven opened the door and asked for a cup of tea that "can make people tell the truth".
