The sky cracked.
Lin Chen stood at the door of the convenience store. The Coke can in his hand fell to the ground, and the carbonated drink gurgled out. He didn't notice it at all.
The sky above was like a curtain torn apart by giant hands, revealing the blood-red cracks inside. The cracks grew bigger and bigger, from one to ten, and from ten to a hundred. The entire sky was distorted, like crumpled paper.
Screams filled the streets.
"Mom! Mom, where are you!"
