Synopsis of Murong Zhaozhao
In the depths of winter, heavy snow blankets the city as the entire family of the loyal General Murong is executed. Six-year-old Murong Yan’s mother dresses her as a boy, hangs a gold lock around her neck, and entrusts her to a loyal servant. The lock, engraved with “Peace,” is one of a pair, matching the “Everlasting Joy” lock worn by her older brother. Her mother falls beneath the burning gate as the siblings are separated amid the pursuers’ flashing blades.
