I took my sister’s place and married a man with a broken mind.
On our wedding night, I tried to coax my silly husband into “that” by telling him we were playing a “candy-eating” game.
It turned out he got hooked.
He kept clinging to me, begging me to “eat candy.”
Later, my silly husband got better,
and turned back into the serious, unapproachable, aloof and chaste captain of the city bureau’s criminal investigation unit, the one his entire team feared.
From then on, we lived together with such politeness that we felt like strangers.
But one late night, he suddenly wrapped his arms around my soft waist from behind and refused to let go.
In a low, hoarse voice, he whispered in my ear, “Wifey, we… I haven’t had candy in ages.”
That night, I finally learned
that serious, aloof, chaste act was all a lie!
All he thought about every day was how to swallow me whole, one bite at a time.
