Chen Mo is a grassroots official who has spent ten years working on poverty alleviation in the county.
One day, he sees a student run a red light. He rushes over and pulls them back, but fails to get out of the way himself and is hit by a bus.
When he opens his eyes again, he has become Zhu Changying, Prince Xiang of the Great Ming Dynasty. He is a ninth-generation descendant of Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, with his fief in Xiangyang. It sounds impressive, but he is so poor that the rice jar is almost empty. The court has withheld his stipend for two years, all the servants have fled, and only an old retainer, a maid, and a barren old hen remain. The Imperial Clan Court also comes by every few days to demand repayment of his unpaid stipend.
He carries two sets of memories in his mind. One tells him that next year will be the first year of Chongzhen's reign, and the Great Ming has only seventeen years left. The other tells him that this impoverished prince lived his whole life without accomplishing a thing.
But that was before.
Someone else now inhabits this body.
Not bad, not bad. The sense of immersion is very strong. I really want to see the plot of Chen Mo traveling to the end of Ming Dynasty!
The setting of dressing up as a down-and-out prince is relatively novel and quite nice!
Chen Mo traveled through time like this. I was looking forward to the plot when I watched it. It was pretty good!
It's a very good time-travel drama. I couldn't put it down, and I want to read it again!
I have read a lot of time-travel dramas, and this one, which travels back to the late Ming Dynasty and becomes a down-and-out prince, is one of the best novels I have ever read.
The structure is substantial and the content is good. This book is a wonderful novel.
