The Scorching Apocalypse: The Fight for Water and the Evil of Human Nature

Looking for a Good Post-Apocalyptic Novel

I'd like to read about stockpiling supplies (preferably with a long preparation period and plenty of money). I don't want a romance, but if there is one, I prefer it to be low-key, not dramatic. I don't like male leads who take advantage once given an inch, or who act coy. And definitely no taking things that don't belong to them. The female lead shouldn't be a do-gooder.
