[Chinese-Style Magical Academy] [Misdelivered Love Letter] [Sweet Romance] [Mutual Pursuit] [Sense of Destiny] [Sugar with a Knife] [Fully Realized Ensemble Cast]
The first time Yue Siyu wrote a love letter, she sent it to the wrong person. Li Ming received it and immediately arranged heart-shaped candles on the school field to confess his love. The whole school watched, and the atmosphere was electric. The real recipient, Zhang Menghua, stood outside the crowd, straightened a fallen flower, and turned to go to class.
Yue Siyu panicked, wrenched her hand free of Li Ming's, and said in front of the entire school, "He won't control me. He really loves me, that's all." Then she ran after him.
They drew each other as opponents in the selection exam. She slammed him against the wall so hard he couldn't pry himself off, then laughed and said, "You're the first person to make me bleed." He was thoroughly crushed by her older brother, Yue Jue, and the whole crowd couldn't bear to watch. He rushed up and carried her away. Yue Jue coldly remarked, "A man crying is a disgrace." Early the next morning, Yue Jue sneaked into the hospital room, took his sister's hand, and said, "That's exactly how I lost before."
He asked her what her dream was. She said she wanted to open a little shop with her husband and have a daughter. After a long pause, he said, "A girl, like you." She said her destiny was to save the world. He thought it over. "There'll be a way, as long as the people of the world unite."
She said, "I'm dating you, and you lecture me about the people's view of history?"
He asked, "Then do you want to hear The Red Manifesto?"
She said, "Go ahead."
Sugar with a knife. Let the people of the world unite, starting by helping him win back his girlfriend.
I stayed up two long nights reading this novel. My eyes were so sore that they felt like they had been sandpapered, but I just couldn't put my phone down. The characters were so vivid, and the protagonist's thoughts when he was unlucky were just me (please don't skip the commercials).
Well written, awesome.
The writing is smooth, the plot is fascinating, and it's super, super fun to read.
