During the decisive battle against the Black Organization, FBI ace Shuichi Akai is swallowed by darkness.
When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself in Eorzea. His comrade, aka his maybe-more-than-a-friend, Rei Furuya, is leaning against him. And the person who rescued them from a monster attack is none other than Hiromitsu Morofushi, long thought dead, aka his former partner.
