A down-and-out scholar from the Ming Dynasty, time travel, a delivery rider, an ancient book restorer, love across time and space, ancient book mysteries, and absurd comedy all connect together a fantasy adventure that spans ancient and modern times. During the Wanli period, a poor scholar, Zhao Mingde, stayed up all night to study for the imperial examination. When a fragment of the "Secret Code of Time and Space" triggered a vision, he traveled to modern times and became a delivery rider. He knew nothing about modern technology, and made ridiculous jokes such as riding an electric bicycle as a donkey and replying to negative reviews in classical Chinese. However, he became the top runner with "The Art of War". While delivering food, he ran into Lin Xiaoman, an ancient book restorer who looked exactly like Zhang Shijie, his classmate who betrayed him. The two accidentally spilled milk tea and triggered a time and space dislocation. Zhao Mingde discovered that he could bring modern takeout back to ancient times.
