[Reborn, System, Northeast China, shamanism, folk customs, feel-good power fantasy, strange tales from everyday life, fiercely protective, decisive and ruthless]
Reborn in 2006, my dad signs a renovation contract.
The house is in the west of the city. The pay is exceptionally high, and the owner is pressing him to start work.
But I know there’s a woman’s corpse bricked up inside the living room’s west wall.
My dad is due to start in just three days. A cold countdown from the System ticks away in my mind:
[Countdown to a deadly trial for a loved one: 72 hours]
If he enters that haunted house, every tragedy from my previous life will happen all over again.
Fourteen-year-old Zhang Wei clenches his fists. “Dad, this time, I won’t let anyone destroy our family.”
…
Later, a middle school student reports the case of the corpse hidden in the west-side wall, and the police solve it.
With a shaman’s help, the police take down the largest local criminal gang.
The heroic spirits of the resistance, trapped for decades in a suburban blockhouse, finally see the light of day amid a shamanic chant.
Later still, even officials from the Culture and Tourism Bureau come knocking:
“Zhang Wei, the revitalization of Northeast China’s folk culture is on your shoulders.”
A story from Northeast China about using shamanic traditions to protect family, comfort heroic spirits, and revitalize one’s homeland.
It looks pretty good, I hope it's free of cp
I think it looks pretty good, but it's a bit lacking. Can it be made without CP?
The writing is very good, especially when I saw the chapter where the protagonist goes to the artillery tower, my eyes were red, not because of sadness, but because of the hatred for the Japanese during World War II. As the saying goes, remember the history, don't forget the national humiliation, and we will continue to strive for self-improvement!
The writing is quite good, the subject matter is very fresh, it tells about the mysterious shamans of the Northeast, and the writing style is also okay. It is not recommended to suppress the protagonist too much, the pace can be accelerated appropriately.
It's a good book. The author's writing has a good sense of daily life and emotions. The plot is written in one go without any ink. As a Northeasterner, I really enjoyed reading it. Come on, I hope it can become a Northeastern folklore novel comparable to the descendants of Maoshan in Tianjin.
As a Northeasterner who grew up listening to these stories, I am very happy to see these folk tales on Tomato. Come on, the author, I will follow up until the completion of the book.
It's a bit interesting. My father also has the same profession, and he prefers to be an Earth Master.
The writing is very good, not too poisonous. Good luck to the author.
You should have a sense of awe in your heart, don't touch things you shouldn't touch, and don't eat things you shouldn't eat.
The subject matter is very novel, the rhythm is tight, and it is very interesting.
