On the day God descended, the world was torn apart. Gods stepped out of the cracks, each with a different power, claiming to "save" humanity. They build churches, perform miracles, and gather believers. Humans began to kneel and worship. Not everyone.
Qin Zhan did not kneel down. Not because he was brave, but because he received a text message. That text message told him: God is not here to save you, but to harvest crops. This world is God's farm, and humans are God's livestock. Every time it comes, it is a harvest.
There is a line at the end of the text message: "You are the only person in this crop who knows the truth."
Qin Zhan doesn't want to be a hero. But he didn't want to be food.
When the first god came to Linhai City, and when everyone was kneeling in the square to pray to the glowing thing that claimed to be "compassion," Qin Zhan stabbed the god in the chest with a fruit knife. God did not bleed or scream. It just looked down at the fruit knife stuck in its chest, showing a "human" expression for the first time - not angry, but curious.
"You hurt me," it said. "That's impossible."
Qin Zhan looked at the golden liquid dripping from the blade and remembered the last sentence of the text message - "God is not invincible, but no one has tried it yet."
He drew his knife and looked into the god's eyes.
"Now someone has tried it."
