GB: Bright Moonlight, Blazing Sunlight

Everyone in the capital knew that Xie Zhao, the young master of the Chancellor's residence, was a delicate piece of fine glass, pampered amid luxurious surroundings. He was peerlessly beautiful but frail from birth, with a pure, spoiled disposition, like a pretty little cat that was quick to bristle. Then came an unexpected encounter and a breathtaking glimpse, and his glass heart fell in love. Young Master Xie threw himself at Yun Zhuo without a second thought, awkwardly yet fervently expressing his admiration. At first, Yun Zhuo thought the pampered young master was nothing but trouble. But those clear eyes, brimming with trust and pure affection, were like the first meltwater of spring, quietly seeping through her defenses.

But how easy could it be to care for a piece of glass? Xie Zhao was so frail that a passing breeze could make him ill, yet he had quite a temper. He was the little tyrant of the household, and the capital's most notorious “jealous sweetheart.” Helpless, Yun Zhuo could only keep him safely beneath her wing. By day, she was his guardian, carrying him across streams with one arm and wielding her sword with the other to intimidate troublemakers, shielding him with words as sharp as blades. By night, she became the most patient “trainer,” using a tenderness and firmness all her own to gently “straighten out” his spoiled little ways.

He was pampered and willful; she was indulgent and doting. He was sensitive and jealous; she patiently soothed him. When his willfulness put his health at risk, she had countless ways to teach him a lesson, yet couldn't bear to let him truly suffer. She guarded him as carefully as her own eyes, allowing not the slightest harm to come to his health.

He was the most precious piece of glass in her palm, fragile and easily shattered, yet reflecting the most moving light. She was the towering tree that shielded him from wind and rain, powerful and steady, and the one harbor where he willingly set aside every thorn and trusted completely.
