A Radiant Face at Dawn

[Dual female leads + age gap + younger woman + healing]

A chance encounter in childhood and a joking promise of marriage, followed by twelve years apart, rewrite the fates of two people.

From the age of seven, Yun Xiaosheng carried someone named Lu Zhaoyan in her heart.

She grew up chasing the years, enrolled at the university in Lu Zhaoyan’s city, and learned to write, all to get closer to the woman she had kept hidden in her heart throughout her youth.

When they meet again, Lu Zhaoyan is no longer the pampered darling everyone once admired. A car accident left her disabled and made her sensitive and insecure. She runs a little flower shop on her own and keeps her distance from romance.

Faced with the young woman’s frank, burning love, she can only think it absurd. She tries desperately to escape, building walls of age, illness, and social convention between them.

She fears that her broken body makes her unworthy, that the nine-year gap is impossible to cross, and, most of all, that this love no one believes in will ruin the vibrant young woman before her.

But Yun Xiaosheng is determined to tear down every barrier.

She isn’t put off by Lu Zhaoyan’s injured leg, doesn’t fear the gossip, and won’t give up on a devotion twelve years in the making. Carefully and wholeheartedly, she warms Lu Zhaoyan’s frozen heart with her unwavering affection and heals the scars buried deep within her.

From one-sided devotion to mutual surrender, from deliberate distance to love that lasts until death.

At last, Lu Zhaoyan understands that their childhood promise was always destined to come true.

And all the darkness in her life will finally give way to the first light of dawn, thanks to Yun Xiaosheng.

A devoted younger pursuer × a gentle older beloved: a mutual healing love that spans the years, from a childish promise to a life lived in the light of dawn.
