The second season of See You Again, Class 18 picks up where the first left off. As senior year begins at Wutong High School, Song Chen’s unconventional teaching methods in Class 1 collide with the new principal’s performance-based grade assessments. Shu Tong takes over the lectern in Class 18, where her father, Tan Ruiming, once taught, and discovers the full truth about the young teacher in his old diary, including his doubts and exhaustion. As the countdown to the college entrance exams begins, the students’ anxiety erupts in different ways, while the adults are pushed toward real crossroads in their lives. From “being seen” to “seeing others,” this season asks: After becoming an adult, how do you avoid turning into the kind of adult you once hated? No one can save everyone, but they choose to stay.
To put it bluntly: the arbitrariness here is not like in the TV series
