[No rebirth + no golden finger + no pocket dimension: ordinary people surviving the apocalypse]
Chen Mo, twenty-eight, a university teacher in an administrative position, is an utterly ordinary person.
He's average at studying, average in ability, and so introverted that even his coworkers never invite him to dinner. The only reason he got a job at a university was his mother's connections.
On a summer vacation duty shift, he is the only person on the empty campus. His mother suddenly calls: a virus has leaked, and infected people spread it by biting. Anyone bitten instantly turns into a violent monster. She tells him to stock up on supplies, stay home, and not go outside.
Chen Mo is stunned. He could drive home, but as he looks around the empty campus, a bold thought occurs to him:
The school has a supermarket, dormitories, and walls. Most importantly,
there's no one else on campus.
Why not stay?
He breaks into the supermarket, which is closed for vacation, and carries the supplies from its shelves back to the dorm by himself. He's exhausted, but feels a little more secure.
However, he soon realizes he doesn't know how to do anything.
He can't fight or use weapons, and he's not even very good at cooking. In the apocalypse, he's a complete good-for-nothing.
He thinks of Lao Wang, the retired soldier working as a guard at the school gate, and takes the initiative to propose that they “work together.”
How will an ordinary university teacher and an aging gate guard face the apocalypse?
It's a rare post-apocalyptic novel that feels like a living person. It's very real. Although the pace is slow, it's very comfortable to listen to. It's the feeling I want. The author keeps writing. The last book I read also picked up little by little and I'm currently reading it [laughs]
I saw Lao Wang going to the second floor of the cafeteria to observe the student dormitories and found that the last chapter could not be edited! ! Haha, the writing is actually very detailed. Lao Wang has some tool-like attributes. Chen Mo doesn't seem to have grown up much. There are no very bloody descriptions. Reading the Blood Cross novel during this period is a bit stressful. Some parts seem to be difficult to connect. If you can stick to it, I would like to thank the author for not interrupting and giving an ending. I will continue to read it.
Very well written. The only drawback is that the protagonist doesn't know how to store water and fuel.
It's good-looking, very bland, and there's no head-on fighting with zombies or anything like that. Like lucky ordinary people. Although the ending is a bit rushed, it is indeed the only zombie novel I have seen to the end. Other zombie stories have been transferred to death during battles
Not bad. I started to fantasize about something like this happening in college.
It's okay. There's no superpower. It's just the expected operations for ordinary people. It's OK. It's completely OK. It's wonderful.
It's a good review. It has no special powers and is slow-paced and very realistic.
It looks good, feels great, and is real.
A very realistic campus zombie story about ordinary people's efforts and struggles to survive in the apocalypse.
It's well written and the subject matter is relatively new.
