On the Night of the Uchiha Massacre, I Burst Out Laughing

On the night of the Uchiha massacre, when Itachi’s Tsukuyomi descended, Uchiha Yao simply smiled. [Ding! The Host is undergoing a clan massacre. The god-tier “Fate Investment” System has been successfully bound!] [Option One: Beg for mercy and eke out a living in Konoha, becoming a vengeful avenger burdened by hatred. Reward: Sharingan evolution, three tomoe.] [Option Two: Fight back and die by the blade of “love for one’s own kind.” Reward: A better life in your next incarnation.] [Option Three: Flee overnight and defect to the enemy village of Iwagakure, becoming the strongest rogue ninja in history! Rewards: Perfect chakra extraction technique, affinity for all chakra natures, and Flying Thunder God Technique, incomplete!] How is this even a choice? “Lord Hokage, times have changed!” “Third Tsuchikage, want to rule the shinobi world? I’m Uchiha. Pay up!” “The Akatsuki? They’re just a tool for me to fleece. Obito, my dear friend, you wouldn’t want someone digging up Rin’s grave, would you?” “Little Deidara, art is Patrick Star!” On the surface, he was Iwagakure’s beloved number-one prodigy and Ohnoki’s favorite disciple. In secret, he was the Akatsuki’s mysterious new recruit, code-named “Gen,” and Obito’s sworn brother. Behind the scenes, he was also the hidden hand guiding Kirigakure, the “mentor” of Mizukage Mei Terumi. Years later, when the Fourth Shinobi World War began and Uchiha Madara was reanimated, he saw Uchiha Yao on the opposite side, riding atop a Tailed Beast, with the Rinnegan in his left eye, the Tenseigan in his right, and a host of legendary shinobi standing behind him. Madara fell silent. “In this world... who exactly is the one dancing?”
