Siheyuan: The Procurement Officer’s Sign-In Comeback

A post-90s procurement director dies suddenly from working overtime and wakes up as Lin Jiangbei, an orphaned son of a martyr living in a siheyuan in the 1960s.

One broken-down room, half a steamed corn bun, and everyone in the courtyard scheming to get their hands on his compensation money

The seemingly kindly First Uncle Yi Zhonghai opens with, “We live in the same courtyard, so we should help each other out.”

Qin Huairu, a widow with three children, brings over a bowl of porridge and has the nerve to ask to “borrow” money.

And then there's the sinister Xu Damao, lurking by the window and gossiping, bent on bringing him down.

Luckily, Lin Jiangbei binds himself to a national strategic supplies sign-in System

Today, he gets 500 kilograms of copper wire and the factory director praises him at a meeting. Tomorrow, he signs in for 100 sets of bearings and the whole factory honors him on the bulletin board.

Scarce supplies that others wear themselves out trying to obtain are his at the touch of a finger.

From a bullied junior procurement clerk to a favorite of the factory director and a force no one in the courtyard dares provoke

Yi Zhonghai tries to guilt-trip him? Lin Jiangbei brings out the ledgers and confronts him face-to-face, leaving the old fox speechless.

Xu Damao tries to report him for profiteering? Lin Jiangbei turns around and finds evidence of Xu's scrap-steel dealings, sending him packing for good.

With the System at my side, I've got all the supplies I need.

While the courtyard's scoundrels are still scheming about how to bleed him dry, he's already risen above them all.

(Daily sign-ins, supplies in a pocket dimension, no saintly protagonist, decisive and ruthless. Just enjoy the ride.)
