A history of Qin, steeped in blood, sweat, and yellow earth.
From the Ying clan, who herded horses on the western frontier by the banks of the Wei River, to the western hegemon who claimed dominion over all under heaven in the halls of Yongcheng, the Qin people took nearly four hundred years to make that journey.
Feizi herded horses and received his fief; Qin Zhong died fighting the Rong in the west; Duke Zhuang avenged his humiliation and defeated his enemies; Duke Xiang protected the Zhou court as it moved east; Duke Wen gathered the Zhou people and built a new capital; Duke Wu executed three clans and reorganized the army; Duke Mu sought worthy men and found Baili Xi, Jian Shu, and You Yu... Every generation of Qin rulers struggled onward through blood and fire. Every inch of Qin land was steeped in the grit and endurance of hard labor. Between the curved blades of the Rong and Di tribes and the contempt of the Central Plains, these people of the great yellow-earth plateau carved out a thorny path from "humble Qin" to "mighty Qin."
This is no legend of a people favored by fate. It is an epic forged in desperation with plowshares and spears alike.
