Harry Potter: Miss Granger Catches Me Looking at Her

Harry Potter fan fiction + Hermione pairing + transmigration + slice of life + healing + making up for regrets + slow burn + sweet romance

After an accident, Ella Wentworth finds herself in another world: the world of Harry Potter.

When she opens her eyes, she sees the morning mist of Devon, a pair of Muggle-born wizard parents, and a little sister who can blow up the kitchen with orange peels.

In this life, she enters Hogwarts with a notebook full of “things to remember.” On the train, a girl with bushy hair and a copy of Hogwarts, A History in her arms opens the compartment door.

“Is this seat taken?”

From that day on, Ella embarks on a long-term project: pretending to pay attention in class, pretending to read in the library, and pretending to watch the matches from the Quidditch stands. She thinks she’s hiding it well.

But Hermione Granger has been keeping a list of “Ella’s Mysterious Behavior” since their first year. From “she knows matches make smoke” to “she spent three nights by my petrified bedside,” from “there’s something strange about the way she looks at me” to “she admitted it.”

In their fourth year, atop the Astronomy Tower, Hermione cups Ella’s cold cheeks and says something she never expected: “You’re waiting for someone, not a letter. Is it me?”

Ella freezes. “How did you, ”

“Because every time you pretend not to look at me, your ears turn red.”

A transmigrator tries to keep a low profile while protecting the world, only to discover that the person she wants to protect has been watching her all along.
