Mo Xiaobai, once hailed as a “young genius painter,” is ruined by a bizarre plagiarism scandal. Her proudest work, Breath of the Abyss, is accused of copying the lost manuscript of a deceased master. Even stranger, the supposed “original” bears a name she never signed. Three years later, she has changed her name and become an art therapist specializing in trauma, while secretly investigating the truth. When she approaches Gu Shen, the only person who knew what happened back then and now an amnesiac curator, she discovers that he has another “future painting” of hers in his possession: a prophetic work she has yet to create, already bearing her signature.
Lies twist like vines, and truth cuts like a blade. Caught between forgery and talent, Mo Xiaobai must use her brush to pierce an artistic conspiracy spanning two generations and reclaim her own voice.
