Fleeing his pursuers, Zhou Jingsi made it to Jincheng before collapsing in the snow.
A long trail of blood stretched behind him. He was on the verge of death.
When he came to, Xia Chun was bent over, bandaging his wounds.
“Cough, cough. You there, you’re going to cripple my leg with that bandage before it’s even healed.”
What kind of idiot ties a bandage in a knot like that?
Xia Chun ignored him and kept wrapping, pulling so hard her back teeth clenched.
“I’m spitting blood. Can’t you see?”
Blood seeped from the corners of Zhou Jingsi’s mouth as pain made him grimace. Blood gushed from his wound like a fountain, and Xia Chun wrapped it even tighter, panting as she tried to encourage herself.
“Damn it, did someone send you to kill me?”
Zhou Jingsi couldn’t take it anymore and kicked Xia Chun away with his other leg.
She fell into the snow. When she saw him glaring at her with his eyes open, her lips quivered and tears streamed down her face.
So much for doing a good deed. What a vicious man.
Xia Chun decided to leave him to die.
“Hey… at least untie this damn knot for me, would you?!”
In the snowy night, everything stood still for a moment.
Xia Chun’s hesitant, halting voice drifted on the wind: “You… talk… too fast. I… can’t understand.”
Zhou Jingsi spat blood. “So you’re fucking deaf?”
-
Xia Chun, a little deaf girl who made her living weaving, had her only loom smashed.
With a wave of his hand, Zhou Jingsi had a ten-thousand-yuan machine and twenty weavers flown in by helicopter.
“Xia Chun, you idiot, put all these people to work for you.”
“The cloth they weave is all yours.”
Later, Zhou Jingsi discovered that all the cloth had been made into clothes and sent deep into the mountains.
