"Asking Shuangluo" is a long historical novel set in the period of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty. It adopts a dual-perspective "Rashomon" structure and tells the story of the entanglement spanning power, desire and redemption between the British master Yuan Hong and Feng Run, the queen of the Feng family.
