Zhang Jie dies suddenly and transmigrates into the primordial world, becoming the weakest outer disciple of the Jie Sect: an early-stage Celestial Immortal with a leaky cave dwelling and nothing to his name but a rusty iron sword.
Worse still, the Great Calamity of Investiture is only three hundred years away. According to the original story, all tens of thousands of Jie Sect disciples will die, and Sect Master Tongtian will be placed under house arrest.
Zhang Jie doesn’t want his soul scattered, so he decides to cling to his master for protection. But Sect Master Tongtian doesn’t even remember having a disciple like him...
So Zhang Jie begins his ridiculous campaign to save himself:
· He makes a PowerPoint for his master titled “How to Deal with the Great Calamity of Investiture.” The first slide reads: We can’t beat the four Sages. Recommend running away.
· He sets up a barbecue stall outside Biyou Palace to earn spirit stones and launch “Primordial World Express.”
· When the Heavenly Worthy of the Origin calls the Jie Sect “a bunch of creatures born from dampness and eggs,” Zhang Jie writes a rap song, “I’m Proud to Be Born from Dampness and Eggs,” and gets it sung across the primordial world.
· The Western Teachings try to poach their disciples? He puts up an electronic sign at the mountain gate: “No Western Teachings HR staff or dogs allowed.”
Fairy Qiongxiao chases him down eighteen streets, Golden Flood Dragon Scissors in hand. “Set up a stall outside Biyou Palace again, and I’ll cut you in half!”
Zhang Jie runs and shouts back, “Senior Sister! Want twenty skewers of lamb? I’ll give you ten percent off!”
Qiongxiao: “...Make it forty.”
When the Great Calamity of Investiture arrives, the Chan Sect and the Western Teachings discover that not only has the Jie Sect survived, it has also opened the largest logistics company in the primordial world, with even the Heavenly Court as a VIP client.
Meanwhile, Zhang Jie is kneeling at the entrance to Biyou Palace, crying, “Master! Senior Sister Qiongxiao says she wants to marry me. Can I say no? Her scissors are terrifying!”
Sect Master Tongtian rests with his eyes closed. “You’re on your own.”
Nonsensical comedy. The plot has been fed to the dogs.
