A Thirty-Year-Old Empress Dowager, the System Keeps Picking Husbands for Her to Spoil

[Strong heroine + Reverse harem + System + Feel-good power fantasy + Anti-traditional + Face-slapping + Court intrigue and daily life]

After outliving the old emperor and helping the young emperor ascend the throne, thirty-year-old Li Huan became the most honored empress dowager in Great Qi. According to ancestral custom, she was supposed to spend the rest of her life alone in the palace, praying before a lamp and Buddha. The entire court was pressuring her to hand over the tiger tally, retire to the inner palace, and cultivate her virtue.

“Expect me to live as a widow? Dream on!” Li Huan sneered and activated the “Peerless Empress Dowager Harem System.”

At court the next morning, Li Huan stunned the realm with an imperial edict: “The late emperor had three thousand beauties. I, too, will hold an open selection for imperial husbands!”

The chief civil official struck a pillar in protest. Li Huan hurled a memorial at his face: “If you want to die, don’t dirty the throne hall. Your whole family can go guard the imperial mausoleum!”

The generals wanted to lead troops in a coup, only to discover that their own battle-hardened, unruly young general was blushing as he served the empress dowager tea; the aloof top scholar of the court was lecturing her in the Palace of Compassion and Tranquility; and the richest man in the realm was throwing millions of taels of silver at her, hoping to buy a smile.

Watch as this tough thirty-year-old empress dowager, aided by the System, reforms the court while gathering the finest men in the realm around her!
