Secretly Married to My Ex-Husband’s Friend

After ending her seven-year marriage in a torrential downpour, Su Jin thought her life would settle into the ordinary. That was until Cheng Shu, the best friend of her ex-husband, Zhou Yu, confessed the love he had suppressed for seven years on the summit of Xishan. A forbidden kiss, a secret affair, and a month later they quietly registered their marriage. Legally, they were husband and wife, but in everyone else's eyes, they were “wrong.” Su Jin struggled to live a double life: on one hand, Cheng Shu treated her with the utmost tenderness; on the other, she had to pretend to keep her distance from him in front of their friends. When her ex-husband looked at her with suspicion, and Cheng Shu silently tormented himself over his loyalty to his friend, the secret marriage that began on a rainy night was bound to develop cracks in the shadows. When their secret came crashing down, the world of all three fell apart. Brothers turned against each other, family members blamed them, and friends gossiped. Su Jin had to answer one question: Was this love, born from a forbidden relationship, worth bearing all the condemnation for? And could Cheng Shu find a way forward between loyalty and the woman he loved? When two people who “shouldn't love each other” fall for one another anyway, should they bow to convention, or find the courage to fight for each other? This was an emotional impasse with no winners. Only after the storm passed did they each learn that some kinds of love must cross through darkness to see the light, and that true letting go means admitting: We were never meant to be. It was only because I dared to choose you. “If you could do it all over again, would you still choose me?” “Yes.” Cheng Shu clasped her hand tightly.
