Then Tathagata told him: If you lose, go and stay at the foot of the mountain.
He stayed for five hundred years.
He thought he was thinking "Why did I lose?"
In fact, what he was thinking about was the unanswered question.
Zhu Bajie also had a question. He thought about it for a long time before he figured it out:
If you know something, it will hurt someone if you say it, and it will hurt someone if you don't say it——
Which one do you choose?
He finally understood:
It's not your choice.
This is the one who should know, he chose it himself.
This book is about two people.
One has been deceived for five hundred years and doesn't know.
One knows but doesn't know how to speak.
It took them the entire journey to figure out one thing:
True kindness is not about making decisions for others.
It is to hand over the truth and choice together.
